Margaret Creech Yeargin, 94, passed away January 16, 2019 at Universal Healthcare in Raleigh. Until her health failed, she was a faithful member of Hephzibah Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and kept children in her home for many years. She loved to crochet and cross-stitch pictures for her children and grandchildren. She loved her Bible and read it faithfully every day. A native of Wake County, she was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joseph A. Creech and Ora Vee Upchurch. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, S.L. Yeargin; daughter, Judy Y. Davenport, son-in-law, William R. Davenport of Knightdale; brothers: Edmond Creech of Florida, Waylon “Runt” Creech of Raleigh; sisters: Metta Creech Bailey of Raleigh and Jackie Kelsey of PA. She is survived by daughter, Bonnie Y. Dean and husband, Tony of Sanford; grandchildren: Chad Davenport and wife, Karen of GA, Ashley Leaver and husband, Matt of Fuquay-Varina, Faith Dean of Cary, Erin Dean Cameron and husband, Alex of Sanford; great-grandchildren: Jackson, Joseph, Lydia and James Davenport of GA, Abby and Harley Leaver of Fuquay-Varina, Cade Cameron of Sanford; sisters: Kitty Booth of Cary, Mary “Pete” Holt of Holly Springs, Georgie Underwood of GA; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service 11:00 am, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery in Wendell. There will be no visitation, the family will greet friends at the cemetery after the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetic Association, 5510 Six Forks Rd #107, Raleigh, NC 27609.
