OBITUARY Margaret Betty Erickson (Penhallegon) March 12, 1922 – January 24, 2019 Betty passed into our Heavenly Father’s arms on January 24, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born March 12, 1922 to Hugh and Florence Van Doren in Wenatchee, Washington. Betty grew up in Wenatchee, Washington where she attended Wenatchee Valley Community College. She went on to receive her RN degree from Deaconess Hospital and Eastern State Hospital. She worked for Memorial Hospital, Summitview Manor, and Ahtanum Nursing Home. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church and was an active member of The Women’s Century Club. Betty had a passion for the Lord and for those less fortunate. She was a strong advocate for the Union Gospel Mission where she served faithfully for many years. Betty is preceded in death by her husbands Thomas MacDonald, Charles Penhallegon, Albert Erickson and grandson Joey Penhallegon. Betty is survived by her children, Dan (Libby) Penhallegon, Marty (Linda) Penhallegon, and Judy (Wayne) Adams. She is also survived by grandchildren: David, Ryan, Sara and Katie Penhallegon, Susan Delia, Ty, Tory and Nicole Adams, Tammy Arado and 11 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Highgate Senior Living for the wonderful care given her. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts to the Union Gospel Mission.
