A memorial viewing is scheduled for 6:00 pm, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home in Roswell for Manuel Lopez, 85 of Dexter who passed away January 25, 2019. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:00 am at Anderson Bethany. Pastor Mark of Waymaker Church will officiate. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery. Manuel was born on October 27, 1933 in Pecos, TX to Petra and Roman Lopez. His parents have preceded him in death. He was the last living sibling of 7. He was preceded in death by brothers; Cruz and Pedro Lopez, Sisters; Ester Lopez, Carmen Hernandez, Gabriella Nevarez, and Pilar Ruiz Manuel married Sara Montez Lopez on February 18, 1952 in Roswell, NM. Together they shared 55 years before she passed away in 2007. In 2012 Manuel was remarried to Rosa Salazar. She survives him. Those also left to cherish his memory are his son: David Lopez (Corinna) of Roswell, NM; his daughters: Cynthia Lopez (Max) of Dexter, Sulema Huerta (Frank) of Hagerman, and Sandy Medrano (Manuel) of Hagerman; grand children Nicolai Martinez, Melanie, Joshua, Sara, Sean Lopez, Jazzlyne Flores, Alexis & Alyssa Lopez, AJ Orosco, Gabriel and Adrian Medrano, Valerie Talamantes and Laura DeLaRosa; Great Grandchildren Jaede Vallejos, Maraya, Diego, Emily, Dominic, Eric, Mia and Sammi Medrano, Abigail, Raeann, Steven and Natalie Talamantes and Harmony DeLaRosa. And numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Medrano, Adrian Medrano, AJ Orosco, Nicolai Martinez, Joshua Lopez, Arnulfo Nevarez, and Honorary Pallbearer Melanie Lopez.
