Obituary for Lonetta June Denney Lonetta June Denney, passed on January 23, 2019 at the age of 86. She was born on December 19, 1932 in Farwell, Texas to Lee and Ella Thompson. Lonetta attended school in Bovina, Texas graduating as salutatorian in 1951. On June 24, 1951, Lonetta married James Willie Denney, together they had their two children, Jerry and Janet. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, son Jerry and his wife Kathy of Las Cruces, daughter Janet Henry and husband Tim of Roswell, New Mexico. Also left to cherish her memory is her 4 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Lonetta is preceded in death by her parents and her nine siblings. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM, Friday, February 1, 2019 at University Church of Christ.
