Obituary for Lillie A. Range Print Lillie A. Range, 96, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019. She was born October 17, 1922 to Charles and Nora (Castleman) Powell in Clark County, KS. Lillie served in the United States Navy as an instructor, teaching aircraft differentiation. She later taught all grades in a one-room school house in Osborne County, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irvan LeRoy Range; and siblings, Bobby Powell, Harley Powell, Bill Powell, and Ira Powell. Lillie is survived by her children, Sandra Everett, Elaine (Jerry) Rusher, Janice (Lloyd) Kelley, and Michael (JoEtta) Range; siblings, George Powell, Bonnie Campbell, and Maxine Junk; grandchildren, John Gilbert, Jimmy Gilbert, Dawn Menz, Christy Freriks, Lance Everett, Aaron Kelley, and Christopher Range; and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation: Friday, February 1, 2019, from 3 to 8 pm with family present between 5 & 7 pm. Funeral: 2 pm, Saturday, February 2, 2019, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Interment to follow at El Paso Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy, 130 N. Topeka St., Wichita, KS 67202.
