OBITUARY Lester Pierre Vedros Sr. March 31, 1935 – January 23, 2019 Lester Pierre Vedros, Sr. passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. Born on March 31, 1935 in Mathews, Louisiana to the late Gilford and Bridget Vedros. Loving husband for 64 years to Mrs. Dorothy Grosch Vedros; Beloved father of Denise Vedros Ditta (Don Ditta), Paul Vedros (Tammy Parks Vedros) and the late Lester Vedros, Jr. (Christine Sampey Vedros); Cherished Grandfather of Rowland Seal, Jr. (Angela Seal), Amanda Seal, Tiffany Vedros, Tracy Vedros Vincent (Josh Vincent), Raymond Huntington, Jesse Huntington, Amanda Huntington and Ryan Bellanger; Great-Grandfather of Kristin Seal, Alyssa Seal, Layla Seal, Kameron Seal, Dylan Seal, Haley Parker, Kailey Parker, Alayah Vedros, Katie Vincent, Zylie Vincent, Harleigh Huntington, Liam Bellanger, Ryan Bellanger and Amanda Breaux; Great-Great Grandfather of Maverick Hernandez. Lester enters the gates of heaven to be greeted by his mother, father, and three brothers, Raymond Vedros, Randolph Vedros and Avery Vedros. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home located at 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana, and again on Monday morning from 9:00am-10:30am. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Holy Guardian Angels Church located at 1701 Bridge City Ave. in Bridge City, Louisiana. Burial at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum will follow mass.
