Leslie R Gleaton 43 of Lakeland, FL died Sunday, January 27, 2019 at her residence after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer. She was born in Lakeland to Silas & Rebecca “Becky” (Johnston) Bryant. Leslie attended schools in Polk county and was a 1993 graduate of Lake Gibson High School, she then attended Hillsborough Community College where she graduated with an Associates of Science Degree. She was a faithful lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church, and enjoyed traveling as much as possible with her favorite place to visit being Cades Cove in the Great Smokey Mountains. Leslie was preceded in death by her Paternal Grandparents Clarence & Oleta Bryant, her Maternal Grandparents Carolyn Shiderman & Joseph E. Johnston. She is survived by her son, Porter Gleaton, Parents Silas & Becky Bryant, Brother James, Niece Blakely, her fiancé Robby Walker, and his children Kassidy, Jordan, and Holly, all of Lakeland. Leslie’s family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb 2, 2019 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am at Bethel Baptist Church, 3125 W Socrum Loop Rd, Lakeland, FL 33810 she will be laid to rest next her Grandfather at Socrum Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Good Shepherd Hospice for the excellent care and comfort they provided to Leslie.
