Obituary for Lawrence Alan “Larry” Griffee Lawrence “Larry” Alan Griffee, 59 of Weaverville passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Nina Rice Griffee. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers William Lisenbee (Betty) and James Lisenbee (Delores) and brothers in law, Ken Vance and Jeffrey Harwood. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Harwood Griffee; sons, Alan Griffee (Rebecca) and Daniel Griffee (Laura); grandchildren, Lydia, Luke, Samuel, and Baby G; sister, Margaret Vance; brothers, Joe Lisenbee (JoAnn), Mark Griffee (Easter); parents in law, Howard and Alice Jamison; brother in law, Ricky Harwood (Tracie) along with several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Clark Henderson will officiate. The burial will follow at Rice Cove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the funeral home.
