Kevin L Mick March 7 1956 January 1 2019 (age 62)

Kevin L. Mick, 62, of Kellogg, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, January 4, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials to Taylor House Hospice may be left at the funeral home. Kevin, the son of Raymond Francis and Winifred Charlene (Lowe) Mick, was born on March 7, 1956 in Newton. He grew up in Galesburg and Reasnor and attended school in Monroe and Newton. On May 25, 1978, Kevin was united in marriage with Diana S. Nikkel in Sully. Shortly after their marriage they made their home in the Kellogg area. Kevin was a truck driver at heart and drove for Manatt’s, Gordon Hayworth, and others. He later took interest in the commercial laundry business and established Mick’s Laundry Services in the early 1990’s in Kellogg. In 2005, the laundry service was sold and he tended the rental spaces he owned. Kevin was a jack of all trades and hands on guy, who enjoyed tinkering and helping come up with DIY solutions to everyday problems. Those left to honor Kevin’s memory are his wife, Diana Mick of Kellogg; children, Dan Mick of Urbandale and Katie (Jeff) Neubauer of Altoona; grandson, Rhett Neubauer; his brother, Francis (Pat) Mick of New Sharon; step-sister, RuthAnn (Terry) Shuey of Grinnell; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Mick; mother, Winifred Charlene Lockwood; step-father, Neil Lockwood; and a brother, Larry Mick.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kevin L Mick March 7 1956 January 1 2019 (age 62).
