Kenneth “Kenny” Lee Claiborne, 65, of Morristown, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at U. T. Medical Center in Knoxville. He was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Ann Claiborne; brother, Larry Claiborne; sister, Dorothy Boyd and companion, Connie Bolden. Kenny enjoyed watching football; especially the New England Patriots. Since a child, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping; anything that allowed him to be outdoors. He was a huge lover of flea markets. He was an avid reader, having read the Bible twice. He also loved to build furniture and anything pertaining to working with wood. Kenny was a kindhearted, loving and giving man who had a real soft spot for children and animals. He is survived by his daughter Kennetha Lee Claiborne; brother Roger Claiborne; granddaughter, Kennyann Price; niece, Rhonda Simms; ex-wife, Debbie Claiborne; great-nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews and special great-great-great nephew Eli; special life-long friend, Eddie Stuffle and special friend, Landon Cotter. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 Monday, January 7, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
