Kenneth Jack Bonkowski Age 87 Years, January 22, 2019. Ken was born August 18, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to his Late Parents Martin and Amelia (Strauss) Bonkowski. Beloved husband tof the late Virginia May,his sweetheart from Pershing High School, Detroit ,Michigan where Ken graduated in June 25,1948. and were married June 21,1952. Attended and graduated from Wayne State University in June 1952. Ken served in the United States Army, entering in October 15,1952 and was Honorably discharged as a Sgt. E-5.the 1st of October 1954. Ken devoted his life to Ginny and his children, lived to please his family.He was employed with the City of Detroit at Herman Kiefer Hospital for 12 years.Became involved with the Union and worked at Solidarity House in Detroit for over 10 years. Ken retired after working for the United States Government in the OSHA division. Loving husband of the Late Virginia May. Dearest Father of Debra (the late James) AAlbersberg, Susan (Gary) Plochinski and Kenneth (Kristen) Bonkowski. Proud and Loving Grandfather of Justin (Kristin)and Jordan (Jaclyn) AAlbersberg, Lindsay (Ed) Vahradian, and Brenden and Breanne Bonkowski. Loved his 10 Great Grandchildren. His Late Brothers Martin, Robert and William. Family will receive friends at a Memorial Gathering Monday ,January 28th,2019 at Wm.
