Kendall Braun 2019

Kendall A. Braun, 62, passed away on January 29, 2019 at home surrounded by his family. Ken was born on December 22, 1956 to Robert and Virginia (Coenen) Braun. He was united in marriage to Sally Prendergast on October 17, 1981. Ken was described by friends and family as “one of the nicest guys you could ever meet”. He made people feel welcome and appreciated no matter the situation. Ken was willing to drop everything to help anyone with a problem. He loved to garden, hunt, and fish and as a result, could whip together a tasty meal from almost anything. He loved to introduce new foods to his loved ones, winning over many a skeptic along the way. His collection of cookbooks knew no rival. He was a talented HVAC and electrician and devoted his career to the Kimberly paper mill. Ken is survived by his beloved wife Sally, two children; Sarah (Greg) Newman and Nathan (Jen) Braun; cherished grandfather of Levi, Everett and Kai Newman; and his precious pug Peaches. He is further survived by his mother-in-law Jean Prendergast, brother David Braun, step-brother Tim (special friend, Kathy) Coenen, Brenda (special friend, Rob) Coenen, Shelli (Coenen) Bessett; brothers-in-law Dave (Diana), Tim (Simone) and Matt (Dina Malson) Prendergast and sister-in-law Amy (Terry) Roehrig, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia (Braun) Coenen, father Robert Braun, stepfather Jerry Coenen, father-in-law Jack Prendergast, sister-in-law Sue (Domke) Braun and John Wayne. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at VAN ABEL’S, 8101 County Road D.
