Obituary of Julie Fay Julie Ann Fay, 72, of Howell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Julie was born in Ontonagon, MI, grew up in Milwaukee, WI, and had lived in Atlanta, GA and Olathe, KS before settling in Howell, NJ in 1985. She was an executive assistant for Prudential Financial for over 30 years. A proud Midwesterner, Julie’s hobbies included playing mahjong, walking the reservoir, gardening and watching football. She was a soccer mom and sports enthusiast, as well as a member of the Red Hat Society and a book club. In her retirement, she would regularly attend plays on Broadway. Julie loved nothing more than doting on her children and grandchildren, and she will be missed dearly by her loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents, Edwin La Brie and Delores La Brie; husband, Michael A. Fay; son, Sean Fay; and granddaughter, Ava Gonzalez. Julie leaves behind daughters, Anne McGuinness and her husband, Stephen of Howell; Erin Gonzalez and her husband, George of Howell; son, Marc Fay of Brick; sister, Dawn Hansen and her husband, Tom of Hartland, WI; grandchildren, Sean McGuinness, Weston Gonzalez, Matthew Gonzalez and Liam McGuinness; brother-in-law, John Fay and his wife, Paula of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law, Patricia Northup of Syracuse, NY; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 2:00 to 5:30 PM with her funeral service to take place at 5:30 PM. Interment will take place at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at St. Mary’s Cemetery and Mausoleum, 4100 E. Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13214.
