Joyce was born in 1929 in Kearny NJ. and lived in the area most of her life. She graduated from Queen of Peace high school and from Seton Hall University with a BA in business. Joyce worked for Prudential Insurance Company retiring after 37 years of service. She then went to work for Ricoh Corporation for 18 years, finally retiring to Manasquan in 2001 Joyce loved reading, music, the theater, traveling and being active in the many clubs and organizations of which she was a member. She belonged to St Denis church, Manasquan Seniors, Sea Lavender Garden Club, Women of Irish Heritage, St Marks Alter Rosary Society and Questers International Barnegat Wind Jammers. Joyce was also a long-time member of St Stephens Church in Kearny NJ. where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Gregory Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Ron” Sigler and her parents Ada and William McNichol. She leaves behind a brother Allan (Lois) McNichol of Manitowish Waters, Wi. and Vero Beach FL. Nieces Elizabeth McNichol , Amy (Paul) Kobussen of Manitowish Waters and a nephew Christopher (Lynda) McNichol of Novi, Mi. Also six grandnieces and nephews and four great-grand nieces and nephews. Joyce was a wonderful friend to many people and was always ready to lend a helping hand. She will be greatly missed. A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 9:30 AM at St. Denis RC Church in Manasquan, NJ. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in her memory to Manasquan Library or Visiting Nurses. Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ is handling the arrangements.
