Talladega- Mrs. Josephine Hubbard Hamlin, 89, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Talladega Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Rev. James Long will officiate. Mrs. Hamlin lived most of her life in Talladega. She was Baptist by faith and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Hamlin; son, Terry Hamlin; parents, Lee and Pluma Smith Hubbard; and sister, Louise Harper. Mrs. Hamlin is survived by her son, Alan (Darlene) Hamlin; daughters, Wanda (Johnny) Harris and Sharon (Bobby) Lackey; brothers, Cecil (Linda) Hubbard and Larry Hubbard; sisters, Willadean Vincent, Ann Tims, and Glenda (Tony) Amason; as well as 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers for the service will be Jamison Lackey, Joe DuPriest, Justin DuPriest, Nick Hamlin, Donnie Sims, and Logan Sims. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
