Obituary for Johnnie Coleman Johnnie Coleman of Port Charlotte Florida formerly of Midway, West Virginia, the husband of Valeria Ruth Dunn Coleman departed this life Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the age of 58 years. He was the son of and preceded in death by the late William “Bill” Austin Coleman and Willa Jean Smith Coleman. Johnnie was also preceded in death by his older brother Ronnie Coleman and his son Brent McKnight Gilbert both of Kentucky. Johnnie’s also preceded in death by his sister, Dinah’s’ husband, Doug Edwards. Surviving and left to cherish his memories are his loving wife: Valeria Coleman of Port Charlotte, Florida; daughter: Stephanie Coleman Clevinger of Richlands, Virginia; two sons: Cody Blake Gilbert and wife Meghan of Lexington, Kentucky; Johnathan Michael Coleman and wife Marian of Richmond, Virginia. Johnnie considered Meghan and Marian as his daughters. Johnnie will be missed by his grandchildren whom he adored: Jillian and Troy Clevinger; Cole, Olivia and Brayden Gilbert; and Izabella Raylynn Terrill. Survived also by two sisters: Billie Jean Jewell and husband Alvin of Herdon, West Virginia; Dinah Edwards of Lerona, West Virginia; two brothers: Donnie Coleman and wife Billie Rae of Sophia, West Virginia; William Coleman and wife Angela of Herdon, West Virginia. Johnnie also leaves behind several nieces and nephews that dearly loved their uncle, as well as a host of “adopted” sons: Deniz Kilicli and wife Busra of Istanbul, Turkey; Filip Milenovic and wife Nicole of Beaver, West Virginia; Janko Popovic of Serbia; Damjan Georgivic and wife Lina of Macedonia and countless friends. Johnnie spent most of his adult life perfecting the trade of Commercial HVAC and was highly regarded and respected in the same. He was a Master Mason and member in good standing at the Beckley Lodge #95, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, Beckley, West Virginia. Johnnie’s greatest achievement was being a loving husband, father and grandfather whose favorite hobby was going to the Peace River and digging for sharks’ teeth. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 6 Pm until service time at 7 Pm at the El Bethel Apostolic Tabernacle Church, 4814 So. Chamberlain Blvd, North Port, Florida 34286.
