John Orsteal Hafford, 87, a native of Plaquemine, and resident of Des Allemands, passed away on January 27, 2019. A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue, from 10:00 am until the Religious Service at 12:00 pm. The burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Leonard Hafford (Miki) and Larry Hafford (Nancy); daughter, Linda Hayes (Charles); sisters, Daisy Courville (Robert) and Carol Riche (Joe); grandchildren, Josh Hafford, Chelsi Hafford, Christina Hood, Amanda Hafford, John Landry Jr., and Dillon Fields. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Matherne Hafford; parents, John and Valencia Dugas Hafford; brothers, Eddie Hafford and Louis Hafford; and sisters, Thelma Barlow and Emma Canezaro.
