John Junior (Shorty)’s Obituary John Junior (Shorty) Kaufman, 94, of Goshen, died Sunday, January 20, 2019, at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born December 15, 1924 in Davidsville, Pennsylvania to John B. and Elsie (Mast) Kaufman. On May 26, 1945 he married Violet G. Garber in Middlebury. He is survived by his wife, Violet, of 73 years; three children, Nancy (Gail) Ehret of Cassopolis, Michigan, Annette (Karen Paluzzi) Kaufman of Granger and John G. (Myrna) Kaufman of Goshen; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Kermit Kaufman and two siblings, Willis Kaufman and Hope Kauffman. A founding member of Bonneyville Mennonite Church, he worked as a controller at Mastercraft, Shipshewana. Visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11 a.m. memorial service will be conducted Friday, January 25, 2019, at Bonneyville Mennonite Church with Rev. Edward Kauffman, nephew, officiating. A private burial will precede the service at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorials may be given to Amigo Centre, 26455 Banker Road, Sturgis, Michigan 49091. Read More
