John’s Obituary John Jerome “Jack” Strang, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, after a long illness. John was born on December 16, 1932 in Ramona, South Dakota to Arnold T. “Tom” and Grace M. (Wolf) Strang. He attended Ramona public schools and graduated in 1952. He moved to Wichita, KS and worked at Beech Aircraft for a short time. John entered the U.S. Navy in 1953 and served until 1957. He then moved back to Wichita and returned working at Beech retiring in 1995 after 42 years. John married Karen S. White on June 10, 1966. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and bingo. John loved his grandkids and making people laugh. John is survived by his wife Karen of the home; sons David of the home and Greg (Kelli) of Coffeyville; grandchildren Alan, Dazie, Cody, Tenesee and Marilynn of Garden City, MO; step-grandson Jordan Mason of Coffeyville; brother Bob of Haysville; sisters Lois Sanborn of Jackson, CA and Karen (LaVerne) Lutz of Park City; aunt Marty Martin of California; uncle Dan (Karen) Strang of Omaha, NE; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. John is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, father and mother-in-law, his brothers Richard, Cyril, Dean, Dennis and Duane, his sister Connie, two nieces and two nephews. Memorial Service will be on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta. Read More
