John Castillo, age 69 of Placedo passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019. He was born September 5, 1949 in Refugio to Anita D. Castillo and the late Manuel Castillo. John is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Vicki Castillo; daughters, Tracy Trejo (David) of Placedo and Wendy Garza of Port Lavaca; sons, Jon Eric Castillo of Placedo and Shane Castillo (Christina) of Victoria; sisters, Yolanda Patterson of San Antonio and Dolores Cervantes (Gregory) of Port Lavaca; brothers, Richard Castillo (Mary) of San Antonio, Manuel Castillo (Dora) of Refugio, and Roger Castillo of Victoria. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father. Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 5pm-9pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm at Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Victoria. Visitation will resume Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 9am with a Chapel Service at 10am at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery in Port Lavaca with full military honors under the Auspices of Calhoun County Combined Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be, Devan Orta, Dylan Trejo, Hector Venecia, Alec Castillo, Tyler Garza, David Trejo; Honorary Pallbearers will be, Ray Garza, Manuel Castillo, Richard Castillo, Roger Castillo, Andy Dominguez, and Richard Dominguez. Under the direction of Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Victoria, 361-575-3212.
