Joan’s Obituary Joan Marie Willenberg (nee Vaccaro), age 76 of St. John, Missouri, Baptized into the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection, Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Friday, December 11, 1942, the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (nee Hanlon) Vaccaro. Joan was the beloved wife for 54 years of James R. Willenberg; loving mother of Paul R. (Francesca) Willenberg, Julie A. (Rob) Kuetemeyer, Jill C. (Dave) Reagan and Karen L. (Matt) Baynes; cherished grandmother of A. J. Willenberg, Joey Willenberg, Zachary Reagan, Tori Evans, Emily Evans, Madi Baynes and Mason Baynes; dearest sister of Judy Haywood, James Vaccaro, Jerry (Amy) Vaccaro, Jane (Dave) Idem and the late Joel (Sally) Vaccaro; dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. Joan worked as a tax preparer but her true love was taking care of her family and especially the grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them and attend their games and dance recitals. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening and being in nature. She was so loved by her family and they will miss her greatly. Services: Visitation for Joan is at SHEPARD FUNERAL CHAPEL, 9255 Natural Bridge Road at I-170, St. Louis, Missouri (314-334-1846) on Monday, February 4 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service is also at SHEPARD FUNERAL CHAPEL on Tuesday, February 5 beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial follows at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis County, Missouri.
