Hanson, 84, of Marietta, formally of Hooper Ridge Road, Amesville, died Thursday evening, Jan. 10, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born on October 12, 1934 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Charles Anthony and Anna Ruth Vanderford Klingenberg. Mrs. Hanson was a 1952 graduate of Athens High School and was a bus driver for Federal Hocking Local Schools for 20 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Little Hocking. She is survived by a son, John (Missy) Hanson of Marietta; a daughter, Angela (Bud) Fulton, of Mt. Vernon; a grandson, Levi (Shelly) Bean of Nelsonville; a granddaughter, Amber (Matthew Doggett)Robinson of Columbus; and a great grandson, Garrett Robinson-Doggett; two brothers, Walter Daniel (Marilyn) Klingenberg of Charleston, IL and Carl Francis (Rosa Lee) Klingenberg of Torch; a sister-in-law, Lucy Klingenberg, of Logan; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Hanson in 1992; a brother Charles Klingenberg; three sisters, Mary Klingenberg, Doris Sellers and Bernadine Huber. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, College and Mills Streets, Athens with Father Robert A. Gallagher as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call Monday 4-8 p.m. at Jagers and Sons Funeral Home, Athens, where the Rosary will be recited Monday at 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5080 Schoolhouse Rd., Little Hocking, OH 45742.
