OBITUARY Jeffrey Matthew “Matt” Landry April 10, 1956 – January 19, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Jeffrey Matthew “Matt” Landry, a native of Slidell and resident of Chalmette, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the age of 62. Matt was a loving and kind hearted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who loved spending time and making memories with his family and friends. Matt lived his life to the fullest. One of Matt’s best qualities was that he would put others, even strangers, needs before his own, whatever the cost. He enjoyed fishing and would often volunteer to cook for local fundraisers. Matt is survived by his sons, Sampré Landry (Colette), Kyle Landry (Lindsey), Josh Landry (Crystal); grandchildren, Abbie, Maggie, Logan, Barrett, Griffin, and Tobie Landry; step mother, Alyce B. Landry; sisters, René P. Cole (Jimmy) and Suzanne Ellis (Troy); brothers, Michael Landry (Jeanie) and Marc Landry (Shanna); numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Matt is preceded in death by his parents, Mackie and Eileen Landry; brother, Randy Landry; sister, Kathy McCurnin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Prairieville.
