She was born on September 21, 1941 and left this earthly experience on October 13, 2018. Janice received her savior early in life, where she attended Olivet Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James Hope. She was educated in the Nashville Metropolitan Public School system attending Washington Junior High School and received her diploma from Cohn High School. She was employed by American Tile Company. She loved life and especially her family. She enjoyed music, dancing and playing her favorite game “Deuces”. She was preceded in death by son, James Richard Leggs, Jr. “June”; brother, Sweeny Maurice Brown, Sr., aunt, Katherine E. Brown; devoted friend, David Lee Perkins. She leaves to cherish her memories; siblings, Richard Lee Maxwell, Ella (Bernard) Miller and Samuel Lee (Tina) Brown; children, David Lee Leggs, Linda (Tracy) Greer, Jacqueline (Brodis Hall, Jr.) Leggs and Ernest Terrell (Valerie) Leggs; grandchildren, James Cantrell, Latray (Eugene) Speight, Ieshia (Ernest) Taylor, Lakeshia (Antwan) Davis, Teanna Leggs, Laquita Leggs, Jimmy Briggs, Jr., Antonio Leggs, Janeshia Leggs, Tierra Stevenson, Brodis Hall, III, David and DeAngela Leggs, Jaquez Hunt, Paige Leggs, Te’Airria and Amber Brown, Nichole Leggs, Savannah Leggs; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. I was searching for Liz Leggs..my surgical assistant at WestSide Hospital for years in 1980s..she was known to Dr Benton Adkins at Nashville General Hospital 1st Ave..Nashville..as well…..Liz auntie was a pie maker…at one time Liz and I discussed having a Pie Shop on Church Street in Nashville….I am hoping that Liz Leggs has not passed on….my contact is John Witherspoon MD..
