Jane White August 19, 1928 – January 02, 2019 Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Jane Hock White, 90, of The Plains, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at The Lindley Inn. She was born August 19, 1928 in Marietta, Ohio, the youngest child of Frank and Elsa Josephine Kindsman Hock. Jane was a graduate of Marietta High School and a very talented pianist and organist. She had been the organist at Trinity United Methodist Church in Marietta, Ohio; played the organ at The First Christian Church in Parkersburg, WV; First Lutheran Church in Athens, Ohio; finishing her organist/pianist career at The Plains United Methodist Church where she served for 29 years ONLY missing one Sunday! Jane was an avid golfer and a member of The Athens Country Club for many years, where she was the Ladies Club Champion many times. She enjoyed bicycling, bowling, was a talented seamstress and an avid Ohio State Buckeye Athletic fan. In Jane’s later years, she took a job at Big Bear at The Plains, as a cashier for 15 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers; Frank, John and Robert Hock; her husband Earl E. White in 1997 and her son Pietro John Carmel Muscari in 2013. She is survived by five daughters: Jane (Joe) Kincheloe, Parkersburg, WV, Elsa Josephine Carper of Louisiana, Judy (Ted) Reed, Athens, OH, Pam (Fred) Ross of Lebanon, OH, Jennifer Harper of Cambridge, OH and a step daughter Annie Smith of Ashland, OH; Sixteen grandchildren: Jeff (Deanna) Muscari, Susanne (Jeff) Ebersbach, Dr. Jon (Danielle) Reed, Dr. Jason Reed, Jane (Kelly) Kincheloe Wilfong, Todd Reed, Jenna (Alex) Jones, Johnny Jones, Scott Ross, Ronnie (Jeana) Handley, Rachel Handley, Christian (Abbie) Carper, Capt, Andrew (Krystal) Carper US Air Force, Jason (Nicole) Muscari, Pietro Muscari and Sophia Harper; Also her black kitty Midnight, her constant companion, who lived with her at Lindley Inn for 5 years. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 AM at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Dan Fuchs and Rev. David Roach officiating. Following the Graveside Service, everyone is invited to attend a Celebration Luncheon of Jane’s Life at The Plains United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Plains United Methodist Church, 3 N. Plains Road, The Plains, OH 45780. The family would like to thank The Lindley Inn and Hospice for their care of our mother. Arrangements are entrusted to Jagers and Sons Funeral Home.
