Jane’s Obituary Jane Nase, age 92, of Souderton, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Souderton Mennonite Homes. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Leon Nase, with whom she shared 71 years of marriage. Born January 11, 1927 in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Esther Nyce. She graduated from Souderton High School in 1944, started working as Secretary in the Credit Department of American Olean Tile Company, Lansdale, and then served as church secretary for Zwingli United Church of Christ for 30 years. She was also a long-time member of Zwingli Church serving on various committees, Church Council, and teaching children in Sunday School. Jane enjoyed homemaking, writing, knitting, and exercise classes. She also loved traveling, golfing, walking and biking with Harold and their friends. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Nancy N. VanDerbeek, of Telford, Kathleen J. Moyer and her husband Robert D., of Ottsville, Robert Nase and his wife Patricia, of Reading, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and her brother John Nyce, of Norristown. Also surviving are beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Jean, Kathryn, Helen and Frances; son-in-law David VanDerbeek, and grandson William “Bill” VanDerbeek. Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 1 PM on Friday January 25, 2019 at Zwingli United Church of Christ, 350 Wile Avenue, Souderton 18969, where the family will greet guests from 12:00 – 12:45 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jane’s name may be made to Zwingli United Church of Christ at the address above.
