Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper following a brief illness. Age 83 years. The son of the late Theodore (Bocianski) Stork and Cora (Machelski) Stork, Jim was born August 10, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Sally Ann Snarski, his loving wife of 62 years, on May 12, 1956. She survives him. Jim was employed at General Motors for 43 years until his retirement. He found comfort in his Catholic faith and had attended Mass at several area churches. Jim served and loved his Carrollton Community where he served as a Trustee for Carrollton Township for over 23 years. He enjoyed his trips to Tennessee and listening to Johnny Cash music, rummage sales, fast cars, NASCAR, #24 and his Puggies. Most of all, Jim loved spending time with family and friends. Surviving besides his wife Sally are two daughters, Kathy and Will Badour, Bay City; Shelley Fournier, Saginaw; seven grandchildren, Kayla (Nick) Petz, Paul Cairns, Jeff Cairns, Tawny Fournier, Rory Fournier, Kassie Fournier and Trent Fournier; one great-grandson, Preston Fournier; many loved nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy, and by two sisters, Evelyn and Ray Pegley, Delphine and Ed Niemaun. Honoring Mr. Stork’s wishes, cremation and a private memorial service, led by Sister Christine Gretka, CSJ, has taken place. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be receive friends on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association.
