Obituary for James Mack Tate James “Jim” Mack Tate, 77, passed away January 7, 2019 in Bedford, Texas. Jim was born November 7, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas to Mack James and Alice (Tate) Tate. Jim attended Pascal High School with fond memories of his time playing football and basketball. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and then furthered his education attending TCU where he gained a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Sciences. He then went on to earn his MBA at the University of Dallas. Jim was a software engineer and worked for NASA, General Dymanics, and McDonnell Douglas. He spent 30 years at Lockheed Martin before retiring in December of 2009. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed reading, watching football, spending time with family and traveling. He attended the First Methodist Church in Mansfield. Jim is preceded in death by his father and mother. Jim is survived by his wife of 19 years, Dolores, children Tracie Rosales, Melissa Whitley, Virginia Reeves. step-children Cheryl Petter, James Kilpatrick, and Brian Kilpatrick, brother Steve Tate, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
