James’ Obituary James e Davids 77, of Palm city FL died on January 14, 2019 James E Davids of Palm City, FL died after a 3 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Jim’s wife of 42 years, Constance Marzahl Davids , his daughter Barb Burrack of Polk City, IA and his granddog Greta were at his side. Jim was born and raised in LaCrosse, WI, one of 9 children, he is survived by one brother, John Davids of Onalaska, WI, his son in law Jim Burrack of Polk City IA, his grandson Bryan Hilleman, his wife, Sharon, and their 2 children Abby and Kyle of State Center IA. He also has 2 granddaughters, Emily Allen Grant of Suffield CT, and Julie Allen of Enfield, CT, and their parents, Patrick and Patricia Allen. Jim was predeceased by his grandson Heath Hilleman in 1983 at the age of 2. Jim also leaves several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. After serving 4 years in the USMC, he reenlisted in the US Army, where he was a member of the 82nd airborne division. In 1974 Jim started his own trucking business after being turned down by several companies due to lack of experience. He was determined to succeed and was self taught in auto hauling. He passed his knowledge on to several other car haulers who have also built successful businesses. JD’s Transport has specialized in the transport of snowbirds since 1987. The business continues to flourish with his wife managing it since his retirement in 2007. Jim enjoyed hunting, bowling, traveling and fishing in Alaska. Jim will be buried with military honors at the South Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to Multiple Myeloma research, Treasure Coast Hospice of Stuart, FL or any animal rescue organization.
