James Albert Kerwin May 13, 1931 – January 24, 2019 James Albert Kerwin, age 87, a resident of Alexandria, TN, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 in Lewisburg, TN. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born May 13, 1931 in Monterey, CA, son of the late Joseph James Kerwin and Virginia Wright Kerwin and husband of Janice Louise Mitchell Kerwin. He was a retired Lieutenant with the US Navy and worked as a ship builder. His hobby was to go fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Douglas (Terry) Kerwin of Columbia; brothers: William Kerwin of Oakland, CA and Patrick Kerwin of El Monte, CA; sister: Kathy Miller of Livermore, CA; grandchildren: Megan Atkins, Dustin Kerwin and Colby Kerwin; 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Betty Woolvereton.
