Isabel’s Obituary Isabel Nicole Huffman Recio, 25, of Temple, TX went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 at 11:39PM, after her year-long battle with a rare form of cancer, named Rhabdomyosarcoma. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at 2PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Temple, TX with Rev. Father Ranjan Cletus and Father Kurtis Wiedenfeld officiating. Burial services will be held at Bellwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Temple, TX immediately following. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30th from 6-8PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Temple, TX with a Rosary Service to be held at 7PM. Isabel was born to the late Julian Wayne Huffman and Mona Liza Huffman on February 21, 1993 in Temple, TX. She was extremely strong in her Faith, praising and living everyday of her life in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. She exemplified the true definition of devotion to the Catholic Church by serving as a Missionary, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Altar Server, Religious Education Teacher and a Pianist in the Church Choir. Throughout her childhood and into adulthood, Isabel possessed a strong desire to travel and experience the world. She was Blessed with having visited destinations near and abroad, including: Spain, Rome, Israel, Mexico, California, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Washington DC and Florida. Isabel attended St Mary’s Catholic School in Temple, TX, for her Primary education. She then went on to graduate from Holy Trinity Catholic High School in 2011, and furthered her education by attending Temple College. For much of her childhood, Isabel volunteered during the summer at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Temple, TX. Into her teenage years, she worked for the City of Temple Parks and Recreation as a Youth Recreational Leader. Isabel had a deep passion for working with children, allowing her the opportunity to positively impact each of them with her love and compassion. As an adult she continued pursuing her passion of impacting young minds and hearts, serving as a girls’ volleyball coach at Holy Trinity Catholic High School. At the time of her diagnosis, Isabel was employed by McLane Company, Inc. In August of 2012, the Lord brought Ed Recio, the love of her life, into the path of Isabel’s life journey. After growing together in their Faith, they were married on April 2nd, 2016 and purchased their home in Belton, TX to begin putting down roots. She leaves behind their two beautiful rescue dogs named Bourbon and Jager that they absolutely adore. She is survived by her Husband Ed Recio, Parents Mona Huffman-Lockhart and Larry Lockhart and her Brothers Trent Lockhart, Jacob Chapman, Craig Huffman and Brock Huffman. She is preceded in death by her Father Julian Wayne Huffman, Grandparents Ebbie & William David (Dub) Huffman, Aunt Nancy Allen, Uncle Tomás Rueda and Grandmother Maria Isabel Larson. The family is forever grateful for everyone’s prayers, love and support throughout this difficult journey. Isabel touched so many lives in her short time with us, and was cherished and loved by so many. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic High School. Read More
