OBITUARY Irene Parsons July 17, 1952 – January 23, 2019 Irene Marie Parsons “Snuffy”, 66 of Martinsburg, passed away January 23, 2019. Born July 17, 1952 in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Leroy and Lula Jennie Omps. Irene worked at Perfection Garment as a seamstress for 10 years. During her retirement you could find her planting her many flowers that she enjoyed, working at and spending time in her pool, and playing with her little buddy, Casey Ray. She loved her family and spending quality time with her grandsons, her son, and daughter-in-law; she had a special bond with Kelley. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 43 years, Gerald Parsons; son, Michael Parsons and wife, Kelley of Gerrardstown; three grandsons: Tyler, Austin, and Cameron Parsons; and two sisters: Roxanne Thorpe and her husband, Doug of Woodstock, Virginia, and Tammy Neal and her husband, Roy of Toms Brook, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Burner; and niece, Brandy Walters. Friends will be received on Sunday from 7-9pm at Rosedale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2:30pm at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Whetzel and Pastor Brian Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
