Obituary for Helen Davis (Dodson) Helen Dodson Davis, 91, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. She was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church. Helen is survived by her son, James Davis, Jr. (Joy); daughter, Beatrice “Polly” Dodson (John); four grandchildren, Randolph Wayne Davis (Jackie), Crystal Gail Wilkins, Kenneth Forrester, Jr. (Debbie) and Bonnie Lynn Belden (Andy); five great-grandchildren, James Randolph Wilkins, III, Randolph Wayne Davis, Jr., Darcus Victoria Davis, Cody Belden, and Megan Hope Belden. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Randolph Davis, Sr.; son, Ellis Wayne Davis; daughter, Alice D. Forrester; granddaughter, Lisa Gail Dodson; great grandson, Peyton Holcombe and her parents, Ellis and Dallas Dodson. The family would like to express a special thanks to all the caring and compassionate people who helped them at Hospice of Virginia. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Welch Funeral Home-Marks Chapel with interment following at Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
