Heather Amanda Killgrove, age 34, resident of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of New London, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Heather was born on April 11, 1984 to Mark and Rhonda (Hale) Killgrove. She was a graduate of New London High School and Gaston College where she received her associates’ degree in fine arts. Heather was an artist her entire life. She always wanted to make everything beautiful. Whether she was applying makeup, shopping at her favorite stores, or decorating a batch of her famous chocolate and mint truffles, she did it with style. She loved drawing and photography. She was a very talented painter. She was a movie buff and could quote most any film at any time. She was the heart of most gatherings because she delighted in making others happy. She was always quick to tell a joke because she loved hearing other people laugh. Her favorite films were comedies and her ultimate afternoon activity was spending time on the couch, watching TV or playing board games with her friends and family members. Heather was at ease on the golf course and she was an excellent swimmer. She had a beauty that cannot be bought or manufactured. Her smile was brilliant. She was just amazing all the time. Heather is survived by her daughter (Maggie Grace Hay); her love (Rob Hay); her mother and father (Mark and Rhonda Killgrove); her brother (Mark Killgrove); her sister (Mindy Harris); her brother-in-law (Justin Harris) and a plethora of nephews, nieces, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 3 pm until the 6 pm service at Eastman Funeral Home in New London with Jay Eastman officiating.
