Harold T Simmonds 2019

Harold T. Simmonds, 90, formerly of Bath, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 27, 2019 in Slate Belt Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 12, 1928, in Secaucus, NJ. His wife of 64 years, Florence M. (Plummer) died May 21, 2013. Harold graduated from Dickson High School, Jersey City, NJ. He retired from Devro, Somerville, NJ, where he worked as an electrician for over 25 years. Harold enjoyed model railroads. He was a member of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church and was devoted to his faith. Surviving are two sons, Tom Simmonds and his wife Joyce, of Stewartsville, NJ and Glen Simmonds and his wife Elaine, of Clayton, NC; three grandchildren, Glenn Simmonds and his wife Tracey, Jason Simmonds and his wife Meghan and Cynthia Simmonds; and two great-grandchildren, William and Kahlan Simmonds. Services will be held at 1:30pm Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Friday 12:30-1:30pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Nazareth, PA 18064.
