GENE’s Obituary GENE E. SHOOK, SR. age 92. Passed away Dec. 31, 2018. Born July 21, 1926 in Wooster, OH to Laura (nee Dewell) and Orren Shook; beloved husband of 55 years to the late Ann (nee Jones); loving father of Scott (Martha), William (Leslie) and Gene, Jr.; caring grandfather of Lawrence Shook and Zylinnea Rogers. Gene graduated from The Ohio State University in 1949 and the William McKinley School of law in 1955. In 1956 he joined the US Patent Office. He became a Patent attorney for Libbey Owens Ford Co. from 1957-1960. He became a patent advisor for the Lewis Research Center and N.A.S.A. from 1961 until his retirement. Gene along with his wife Ann, started the Shook & Shook Law Firm and practiced together for many years. He held many civic posts including board member West Shore YMCA, Olmsted Community Church and was an active Boy Scout Leader. His hobbies included ballroom dancing and boating. Funeral Service Saturday, Jan. 5, Olmsted Community Church (7853 Main St. Olmsted Falls) at 10:00 AM. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD. AT STEARNS FRIDAY 2-4 & 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions to the N.
