Gary P Weber 1953 2019

Obituary of Gary Weber Gary P. Weber went to his heavenly home Tuesday, January 22 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. A celebration of Gary’s life will be Monday, January 28 starting at 4:30 pm with a memorial prayer at 5:00 pm and food, drinks and memories to follow at the Parkston American Legion Hall. Gary was born March 7, 1953 to Patrick and Lavalle (Gau) Weber in Mitchell, SD. He attended Ss. Peter and Paul Parochial School in Dimock, SD and graduated from Parkston High School in Parkston, SD in 1971. He attended South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City, SD before serving his country in the South Dakota Army National Guard. He was united in marriage to Cathy Pansegrau on June 22, 1974. In Gary’s words, he married her for her mother’s chocolate cake. He was a lifelong carpenter and worked with his father in the family construction business. He recently retired from carpentry but only until the phone rang and he was needed to do a project. He also recently worked for County Fair in Mitchell where he made many new friends. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed shooting and collecting guns, camping, following his favorites in dirt track races, making homemade ice cream for his grandchildren and poisoning and trapping “varmints”. One of the favorite nights of his life was attending the Garth Brooks concert. He was on call 24/7 to help others, even in the end as he gave the gift of life as an organ donor. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Cathy, “The Hen” to Gary “The Rooster”, of Dimock; 3 children: Eric (special friend Carmen) Weber of Parkston; Heather (Mike) Herman of Sioux Falls; Ann (Brandon) Jacobsen of Dimock; 7 (almost 8) grandchildren: Mylie, Ryker, Ty, Bridger, Hendrix, Wessy and Evelyn; 3 sisters: Linda (Ed Lynch of Luverne, MN; Jan (Tom) McCoy of Sioux Falls and Deb (Scott) Flanders of Woodbury, MN; and a brother, Ron (Kim) Weber of Canton, SD; and his 2 puppies, Ruby and Shep. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Bonnie Pansegrau.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gary P Weber 1953 2019.
