Steinebach, Gary Lee Steinebach I, aged 54, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Steinebach; biological father, Garey “Buzz” Gee; grandparents, Agnes (Nana) and Karl (Opie) Raiser; Emma Steinebach; father-in-law, Lyle Crouse; sister-in-law, Debra Crouse; beloved dog, Tucker. Gary is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cheryl; sons Gary Steinebach II, Michael Steinebach; siblings, Lori (John) Workman, Ed (Rosena) Steinebach, Gina (George) Johns, Rick (Crystal) Steinebach; Jeff (Yuka) Gee, Molly (Larry) Gee, Carrie (Dani) Gee; father, Dick (Sharon) Steinebach; mother-in-law, Margaret “Peg” Crouse; brother-in-law, Elton Crouse; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Gary loved his family. He had a warm heart of gold and helped anyone in need. Gary loved talking with people and was a natural salesman. It’s been said that he could sell water to an otter or a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. He was a big fan of the Detroit Lions, NASCAR and loved his semi-annual trips to MIS with good friends. Gary was his nephew Jay’s biggest fan and supported his #10 race car. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, February 4, 2019 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel – Belmont, 1601 Post Drive. The family will greet relatives on Sunday from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM and 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral chapel.
