Fred Andrew Jefferson of Winter Garden, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Orlando Health in Orlando, Florida. He was born in Schlater, Mississippi to George H. Jefferson and Annie Mae (Tolliver) Jefferson. Fred’s formative years were spent in Mississippi before relocating to Winter Garden with his immediate family. Later Fred lived in Rochester, New York, working numerous years at Strong Memorial Hospital before returning to Florida. Fred will be remembered for his quiet, kind and friendly demeanor. He loved to fish, play pool and spend time with family. He is predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Alphonso “Blue”, Henry Lee “Scooter”, Robert “JC”, Joe Nathan, John, Eddie, George Jr., and his sisters, Ora Brewer Allen and Bessie Brown. Fred is survived by brothers James “Sonnie”, Lendberg, Roosevelt, and Walter; sisters Catherine “Sister”, Clotee Williams, Bernice Powell and Dorothy Dukes; special nephew, Ernest Brewer; Goddaughter, Alicia Brewer; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will take place at A COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME AND SUNSET CREMATIONS, 910 Michigan Avenue, on Friday, February 1, from 1PM – 2PM.
