Mr. Frank Richard Simon, Jr., 85, of Varnville, passed away Monday, January2 8, 2019 at Colleton Medical Center. Born July 4, 1933 in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Frank Richard Simon, Sr. and Louise Fisher. He was a retired auto body technician and was a member of Deep Branch Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, and most of all loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving are: his wife, Brenda Mole Simon; son, Frank Richard Simon, III and his wife Cassandra of Varnville; step-children, Tina Sheffield and her husband Joseph of Varnville, and Leon Miles Bennett and his wife Renee of Varnville; grandchildren, Stephanie, Laura, Miles, Emily Rose, Frank Richard “Chad”, IV, and Elijah; great grandchild, Avery; and a brother, Raymond Fisher of Flemington, New Jersey. Funeral services will be held at 12 o’clock, Thursday afternoon, January 31, 2019 at Deep Branch Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Harmony Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Crocketville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 am until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: St. Jude children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105; or to Deep Branch Baptist Church Building Fund, 848 Ficken Road, Early Branch, South Carolina 29916.
