Francis Xavier Cahill, 60, of Port Monmouth, New Jersey, passed away at home on Sunday, January 20, 2019. Francis was born on July 8, 1958 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He lived in Keyport, New Jersey for most of his life before moving to Port Monmouth, New Jersey around 15 years ago. Francis worked as a Dredging Operating Engineer for the Local #25 for many years. He was predeceased by his father, Francis Cahill. Francis is survived by his beloved mother, Concetta “Margaret” (Auriemma) Cahill, his loving daughter, Heather L. Cahill of Keyport, New Jersey, his dear brother, John Cahill of Port Monmouth, New Jersey and his cherished granddaughter, Brielle Colgan. Francis will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday morning, January 24, 2019 from (time to be announced) at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
