Obituary for Florence Dale Pierce Florence Dale Pierce, 86, Haines City: It is with great sadness that the family of Florence Pierce announces she was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in Haines City, FL at the age of 86 years. Florence was born in Orlando, FL on September 16, 1932 to Nancy Janette Scott Claxton and George Felton Claxton. While working as a waitress in Miami, where she met the love of her life, a handsome Navy Aviation Structural Mechanic named Harold Pierce. They were married in Coral Gables, but moved to Ohio where Harold was born and raised. Soon, Larry was born and the new family moved to the Orlando area. They were blessed with six more sons. The raising of her seven boys became Florence’s passion and purpose. Florence will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Larry, David (Elizabeth), Bruce, Richard (Bonnie), Michael (Connie), Brian (Diana) and Robbie (LeAnn), and daughter Anna. Florence will also be fondly remembered by her thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Florence was predeceased by her husband, Harold Marion, sister, Bonita and brothers, Bobby, Otto, and Limmy Harold. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 am, all at NorthRidge Church, 2250 State Road 17 South, Haines City, FL 33844. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, FL. Memorial contributions can be made in Florence’s name to The Way Center, Haines City, FL.
