Ervin Buck Lee Haager February 21 1926 January 10 2019 (age 92)

Ervin (Buck) L. Haager Sr., age 92, passed away January 10, 2019 at Erwin Health Care Center in Erwin, Tn. He had a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and loved to talk about the Lord. Ervin served his country in the United States Navy. He married Violet Petty and they had four children; Sandie Guenther, Richard, Ervin Jr. (Phoebe), and John (Linda). Many grandchildren; Richard Bryan, Rhonda, Gary, David, Daniel, Stacy, John C., Douglas, Adrian, Clifford and Christine. Buck welcomed the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and felt he was a blessed man. Later in life, after the passing of his wife Violet, he met a wonderful, loving woman named Novella (Granny) Jarnagin and spent the rest of his life loving her. She brought Imogene Miller, Esco Jarnagin and Billy Jarnagin into the family. Grandchildren Harold, Tim, Stacy and Christy, Bradley, Jason, Scotty, Brian and many great-grandchildren followed. After working in law enforcement, and for a short time as a mechanic, he found his passion as a skilled carpenter. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Monday, January 14, 2019 in the East Chapel of Allen Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 15, 2019 also at Allen Funeral Home with Wylie Lampkin and Jerry Johnson officiating. Military honors and interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
