Ernest J. Pawlak, age 87, of White Oak died January 27, 2019, at Montefiore Hosptial. Born January 12, 1932, in Glassport, he was the son of late Theodore and Veronica (Olejniczak) Pawlak and the husband of Joan (Wargovich) Pawlak for 61 years. Ernest retired from Continental Can Co., where he was 3rd shift superintendent, after that he worked for Port Authority, until his second retirement. He was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. Ernest was a member of Corpus Christi Church. He enjoyed woodworking and traveling to historic sites. In addition to his wife, Ernest is also survived by sons; Kent (Shirley) Pawlak of North Huntingdon and Kurt (Christine) of White Oak; grandchildren, John, Sarah, Connor; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Leona Herrmann and Dorothy Massung. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 10 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church.
