Edward’s Obituary Edward James O’Flaherty, 56 of La Crosse passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Mayo Health System of La Crosse following an extended illness. He was born August 5, 1962 in Lake City, Minnesota. Ed had worked for Badger Foundry in La Crosse for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing especially for perch and blue gills, squirrel and deer hunting and watching Wisconsin sports teams. He loved to cook, listen to music and all things Irish. Edward is survived by three children; Christina O’Flaherty and Skylar O’Flaherty both of Decatur, GA and Emily Bernett of La Crosse; his mother, Pearl Hoffman of La Crescent; a brother, Michael (Betsy) O’Flaherty of La Crescent; two sisters, Amy (Rick) Magnuson of La Crosse and Brenda Greene of Grand Meadow, MN; nieces and nephews, Elyse and Keith O’Flaherty, Zack, Alex and Levi Magnuson. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael O’Flaherty. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-6 P.M. Tuesday, January 22nd at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 111 South Oak Street, La Crescent with a time of sharing at 6:00 P.M. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
