Edna Dunlap 1933 2019 (age 85)

Mrs. Edna M. Dunlap, 85, of Nis Hollow, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, January 24th at St. Luke’s Hospital-Lehighton, Pa. She was the wife of Bernard L. Dunlap. They were married on August 22, 1953 and celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2018. Born in Lehigh Gap, Lower Towamensing Township, she was a daughter of the late Adam & Lulu (McFarland) Green. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a Meat Cutter/Deli Clerk for the former Rex’s Royal Swan Market, Ashfield, & The Lehighton IGA. Edna was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield, Pa. In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, gardening, flowers, Polka & Square dancing, Sunday Motorcycling cruising, and spending time with her loving husband and family. Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Blaine L. Dunlap of Lehighton, a granddaughter, Naomi, a grandson, Daniel, a great-granddaughter, Ani, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by 5 sisters, Betty Jones, Dorothy Zuber, Violet Steigerwalt, Edith Bittner, & Ida Steigerwalt, & 3 brothers, Thomas, Adam & Paul Green. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 28th at 11 a.m. at The Ovsak FH, 190 South 4th St., Lehighton with the Reverend Anthony P. Pagotto officiating. Call 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Dinkey Memorial Cemetery, Ashfield, Pa. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1742 Dinkey Road, PO Box 250, Ashfield, Pa. 18212-0250.
