Obituary of Dorothy Cole ADRIAN – Dorothy Winifred Cole, age 92, of Adrian, died January 23, 2019, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility surrounded by her family. She was born October 10, 1926 in Bluffton, Ohio to Hollie and LaVonne (McGeorge) Baldwin. On October 25, 1946 she married Robert Eugene Cole and he preceded her in death. Dorothy attended the Church of the Nazarene. Dorothy had worked at the Hurd Lock and Stubnitz Green factories during World War II. She retired from the Spiegel Catalog store in Adrian. Dorothy also worked at the Bingo Hall for 15 years and on the lunch program at Garfield School for many years. Dorothy’s lifelong passion was her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her heart and joy. There’s no denying that her grands were the people that she loved the most. She was their “Grandma Grape”. She is survived by one son, Stephen (Cherie) Cole of Adrian; one daughter, Barbara Caldwell Girard (Paul Girard) of Poinciana, FL; one brother, Bill Baldwin of Milan; one sister, Sandra (Larrie) Baker of Wolverine, MI; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Bob, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Larry Baldwin, Robert Baldwin, Don Baldwin, and Jim Baldwin; and a sister, Shirley Craft. Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Larry Betz officiating.
