Obituary for Dorothy L. Herman Print Dorothy Herman, 93, of Kansas City, KS passed away January 22, 2019. A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 28, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 10113 E. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64053. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Catholic Charities. Dorothy was born August 20, 1925 in Independence, MO and lived there most of her life. She had worked for Amoco Oil (BP) for over 30 years, in their payroll department. She retired in 1986. Dorothy was very active in church groups and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidor and Julia Herman; sisters, Evelyn Tanner and Anne Herman; and nephew, William Tanner. Dorothy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Carol (Gary) Rupp, James (Luwana) Tanner, Mary Tanner, Paul (Vickie) Tanner, Julia Tanner, Patty (James) Tanner, Brenda (Bill) Holland and John (Gina) Tanner; sixteen great nieces and nephews; ten great-great nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great niece; as well as cousin, Winston Herman and other cousins and relatives who live in Texas.
