Donald Wayne Bullock, 89, of Kewanee, died peacefully at home while surrounded by his family on December 30, 2018. Born in Kewanee to parents Glenn and Theo Bullock, Don grew up the oldest of three children and graduated from Kewanee High School. Shortly after graduation, Don enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country in the Korean War. In 1958, Don married Bernadine Benoodt and they had 5 children. Don thoroughly enjoyed being in the outdoors and had an adventurous spirit. He loved animals, gardening, riding and racing motorcycles, and flying planes and hang gliders. Don is survived by his wife, Bernadine; his sons, Jon, Matt(Amy), and Andy(Jill) Bullock; daughters Beth (Donnie)Zipp and Kit(Brian) Layman; eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Linda Crosby. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ann DeWit. Per Don’s wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be sent to the Henry County Humane Society at 197 S. Fisher in Kewanee, and the Wounded Warrior Project at PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
