CLINTON-David K. Manson, 55, Clinton, Indiana passed away at 4:30 am Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Simon Cancer Center, IU Health, Indianapolis. He was a Classification Supervisor on the Intake Unit with the Indiana Department of Correction at the Rockville Correctional Facility with 25 years of service. He was born April 1, 1963 in Danville, Illinois to Joseph T. Manson and Carolyn Cooke Manson. Survivors include his parents of Terre Haute; one brother, Thomas Manson of Terre Haute;… Read More » one sister, Susan (Jim) Reynolds of Terre Haute; his life partner, Susie Martin of Rockville and her son, Daniel Martin of Etna, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.W. “Warren” Cooke and Lois Cooke. He was a graduate of Terre Haute South High School and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana State University. He served nine years with the Indiana National Guard with the rank of Captain. He was an avid long distance runner participating in many races including 5K and Marathon runs. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 12, at Thomas Cemetery in Newport with burial following. Visitation is from 4-8 pm Friday at Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home, 225 N. Maple Street, Dana. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
